Not all hotel loyalty programs reward their most loyal customers the same way. However, The world of Hyatt maybe offer the best hotel elite status you can earn in the form of his top globalist status.
Globalist members can enjoy suite upgrades at most brands, free breakfast for each registered guest (up to two adults and two children), access to lounges, waived resort fees, free parking on reward nights, bonus points and more.
Having Globalist status can dramatically improve your Hyatt stays, making them more comfortable and affordable.
In short, World of Hyatt globalist status is exceptional elite status. So, let’s look at the top reasons we love Hyatt Globalist status.
Bonus points
World of Hyatt members without Elite status earn 5 base points per qualifying dollar spent. However, World of Hyatt Globalist members receive a 30% bonus on qualifying purchases, which means they earn 6.5 points per dollar on qualifying purchases with Hyatt. Those bonus points can add up and turn into a sweet luxury vacation.

Free breakfast
The free breakfast matches travelers’ preferences for the benefits of the hotel’s elite status. While Hyatt’s competitors typically offer their top elite members a continental breakfast, Hyatt Globalist offers a completely different breakfast experience.
Whether paying with cash or redeeming points, Hyatt Globalist members receive a free full breakfast for up to two adults and two children checked into the room at most properties.
While each Hyatt property may have its own approach, you can generally expect to enjoy a full, hot breakfast in the hotel restaurant. At select Hyatt properties, you may even have the option of enjoying your free breakfast through room service at no additional cost.

Club lounge access
As a World of Hyatt Globalist elite member, you will generally receive a free full breakfast at their properties, unless the hotel has a club lounge. In this case, your Globalist status grants you access to the Club Lounge, where you can usually enjoy breakfast and evening snacks at no additional cost. Some club lounges even offer free evening cocktails.
While not all Hyatt properties have club lounges, you’ll often find them at Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt properties. However, the quality of club lounges varies considerably. In our experience, lounges outside of the United States often offer better food and a wider selection of free drinks.
Even without World of Hyatt Globalist status, you can still access the Club Lounge on a future Hyatt stay. For example, you might have club access certificates that you earned as a Hyatt Milestone Rewards. You can also book rooms with lounge access using bonus points or cash at select hotels.

Suite Upgrades
World of Hyatt Globalist members have multiple routes to earn complimentary suite upgrades.
First, as a Globalist member, you are entitled to free upgrades to a standard suite with available space upon check-in. This is similar to airline elite members who receive first class upgrades available in space.
The second and most reliable method for Globalist members to secure suites is to use Hyatt upgrade certificates in advance. Through the Hyatt Milestone Rewards program, you will receive two upgrade certificates in a row when you reach 50 Elite qualifying nights or 80,000 base points with Hyatt in a calendar year. You’ll also earn two more upgrade certificates in a row when you reach 60 elite qualifying nights or 100,000 base points in a calendar year. Each certificate allows you to upgrade a standard room reservation, booked with points, cash or qualifying rates, to a standard suite reservation at no additional cost for a stay of up to seven nights.
To determine which suites are eligible for a Suite Upgrade Certificate, carefully review the room descriptions on each hotel’s website. In particular, look for the terminology “standard suite” in the description of the suite. The ability to book a suite well in advance for a special trip is a unique benefit offered by Hyatt’s loyalty program that is unmatched by other major hotel programs.

Resort fees waived
Travelers generally don’t like hotel resort fees, and it’s no wonder why.
Fortunately, Hyatt offers an easy way to avoid these fees: all World of Hyatt members can take advantage of a resort fee waiver when redeeming points or free night awards.
World of Hyatt Globalist members receive a resort fee waiver on all qualifying stays booked directly with Hyatt, whether paid with points, cash, or a combination of both. This can be a big savings, especially for those who frequently stay at high-end hotels and resorts.
To illustrate, a five-night cash booking at the superb Grand Hyatt Kauai to Hawaii usually comes with a $265 resort fee. However, you would be exempt from this fee if you are a member of World of Hyatt Globalist.

Free parking
Some Hyatt properties offer free parking, but upscale or urban properties often charge for it. For example, parking costs $55 per night at Park Hyatt Beaver Creekby parking at Park Hyatt in New York costs $90 per night.
Globalist members can avoid these parking fees if they book a reward stay using points or a reward certificate. This benefit does not apply to cash bookings or stays booked with a combination of points and cash. Additionally, if a third party owns the hotel parking lot, you may be subject to parking charges even if you use points or a reward certificate.

Hyatt guest of honor
Hyatt Globalist status comes with valuable benefits that you might want to share with friends and family through the Guest of Honor program.
As a Globalist, you can use your points to book a reward stay for someone else. Your standard Globalist benefits, such as complimentary breakfast, resort fee waiver, and suite upgrade eligibility, will pass through to your guest. It is important to note that the reservation must be a reward stay, as the Guest of Honor program does not apply to paid stays.

Elite check-in and late check-out
As a Globalist, you get priority access to available rooms at participating hotels if you arrive at your destination before the standard check-in time. Participating establishments may also offer a dedicated space for Elite members to register.
On your day of departure, Globalist members can usually request a late check-out at 4 p.m., which can be useful if you want to spend more time in your room before leaving.
Late check-out is subject to availability (and therefore not guaranteed) at Casino Hotels, Hyatt Resorts and Destination Residences. Also, late check-out is not offered at Hyatt Residence Club resorts. Still, it’s worth politely requesting a late checkout if you need it. Be sure to mention your World of Hyatt status to the front desk when applying, as this may increase your chances of spending more time at the property.

How to get Hyatt Globalist status
To achieve Hyatt Globalist status, you must accumulate 60 qualifying nights or 100,000 base points in your World of Hyatt account within a calendar year. You can also earn Globalist status by hosting at least 20 qualifying meetings or events in a calendar year.
Contrary to Hilton Diamond Status And Marriott Platinum Elite Status, no credit card is available that automatically grants Hyatt Globalist status. It can be difficult to earn Globalist status unless you travel frequently, but there are ways to make it easier.
Paid nights and reward nights count towards 60 nights per year toward Globalist status, and the World of Hyatt credit card can speed up your progress. You receive five status-qualifying night credits each calendar year for simply having the card. Plus, for every $5,000 charged to the card, you earn two qualifying night credits for the year you spent the money. Best of all, there’s no limit to the number of tier-eligible night credits you can earn by spending with your card.
